Every year, companies partnering with or following the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) celebrate National Logistics Day on June 28. The 2023 holiday marks the fifth annual day of recognition, and June is celebrated as TIA’s Member Appreciation Month.
With logistics and service providers acting as an often-faceless process to many people, setting aside time to think about the day and the role of logistics companies and professionals in the industry can be challenging. But first, it’s important to know a few things about the history and relevance of this observed day.
The origin of National Logistics Day started in 2019 at the TIA. And the day is only part of a more significant acknowledgment and remembrance of the logistics industry. The TIA has designated June as Member Appreciation Month.
