How did you find Velocity and what keeps you here?
I was looking for a sales opportunity that would allow me to earn commission and build a book of business to run on my own. I did not know much about the transportation industry when I applied, but I was
interested in joining a startup company that would allow for growth and opportunity for advancement. I love the fact that I can see the effect of every decision I make throughout the week. And I love how transparent
management is with the employees. It helps me understand my place and how I effect the growth and success of the entire organization. Every day at the office is something different and something fun, the casual dress is a huge plus for me too!
Relentless Service – this core value is my favorite because I understand how much of an impact the service you provide a customer/carrier can have. I come from a background in hospitality/sales and knowing that Velocity is trying to differentiate itself from other brokerages by providing superior service to customers gives me confidence in the longevity of the business. Building strong relationships builds a strong business.
Come to work every day with your head on straight and a positive attitude ready to kick butt. If you are new to the industry, starting out can be hard, but a year from now you will wish you had started today. If you
have worked in transportation before, you know that there is no limit tohow much you can grow your business and your paycheck. Persistence is key.
